Elevion Group and Italian biogas specialist AB have announced a partnership to construct five new biomethane plants across Germany, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. This collaboration aims to strengthen the renewable energy infrastructure in these regions.
AB will supply advanced biomethane upgrading systems that process raw biogas into high-quality biomethane. Elevion Group will manage the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for these facilities. The combined output is projected to exceed 36 million cubic meters of biomethane annually, sufficient to meet the energy needs of around 50,000 households in Europe.
Philipp Loewe, CEO of Elevion Group, stated, “Our partnership with AB advances our goal of promoting carbon-neutral energy throughout Europe. Biomethane serves as a scalable and renewable energy source, and we are committed to supporting sustainable agriculture and waste management practices.”
Angelo Baronchelli, CEO of AB, emphasized the importance of their collaboration, describing it as a union of two companies focused on innovation and environmental responsibility. He noted that these projects not only produce energy but also exemplify a model for sustainable development.
Construction of the biomethane plants is currently underway, with plans for commissioning by the end of 2025.
