The project aims to address commercial risks associated with offshore wind turbine installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 15 MW turbine will be mounted on Ocergy&#8217;s OCG-Wind floating platform. The design features a modular assembly approach, utilizing prefabricated steel sub-assemblies. This construction method is intended to enable mass production, leveraging existing infrastructure to facilitate scalability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will employ a rigid structural approach to tackle the technical challenges of supporting turbines exceeding 15 MW on floating foundations. The pilot program is set to demonstrate integration capabilities, reduce assembly times, and ensure safe operational practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data collected during the prototype&#8217;s operation will inform maintenance strategies and contribute to financial models for future commercial wind farms.
