This funding will support two key projects: Green H2 and Hydrogen Eagle. Both programs focus on producing renewable hydrogen through electrolysis powered by renewable sources and generating low-emission hydrogen from municipal waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ireneusz Fafara, President and CEO of ORLEN S.A., stated that this funding underscores the company&#8217;s commitment to develop hydrogen capabilities as part of its 2035 strategy. The financial support will allow the ORLEN Group to enhance hydrogen production infrastructure, which will strengthen both Poland&#8217;s and Europe&#8217;s hydrogen supply networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hydrogen Eagle program aims to diversify sources of renewable and low-emission hydrogen, utilizing waste-to-hydrogen technology. This initiative not only improves European hydrogen infrastructure but also aims to lower carbon dioxide emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Green H2 project, managed by LOTOS Green H2, focuses on renewable hydrogen production for refinery operations at the Gdansk site. This project includes the installation of a 100 MW electrolyser integrated with an energy storage system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, ORLEN VC, the group&#8217;s corporate venture capital fund, invested in Hystar, a manufacturer of efficient PEM electrolysers. This investment is expected to bolster the group\u2019s hydrogen production capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funding received by ORLEN Group is part of the third funding round under the National Recovery Plan, specifically aimed at investments in hydrogen technologies.
