Hamburg-based Encavis AG has expanded its renewable energy portfolio by acquiring two wind farms in Germany with a combined capacity of approximately 59 megawatts (MW). The acquisition, announced on June 24, 2025, includes a functional wind farm in Zeven, Lower Saxony, and another near completion in Ra\u00dflitz, Saxony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Zeven wind farm, which is operational, features eight Vestas V-162 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.0 MW. This facility is expected to produce around 139 gigawatt hours (GWh) of green electricity annually. In contrast, the Ra\u00dflitz wind farm, located about 35 kilometers west of Dresden, consists of two Enercon E-160 turbines, each generating 5.56 MW, and is projected to generate an average of 36 GWh per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both wind farms benefit from a 20-year EEG feed-in tariff, ensuring stable revenue through guaranteed electricity prices. This acquisition marks another phase in the ongoing partnership between Encavis and Energiequelle GmbH, as Encavis had previously acquired a 5.6 MW wind farm in Bad Gandersheim from the same company just weeks prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
