VSB Group has successfully commissioned the 9MWp Soleil de Balsac solar plant in southern France, utilizing a former clay and gravel extraction site for clean energy production. Located in Druelle Balsac in the Aveyron department, this ground-mounted solar project comprises 16,740 solar modules and is projected to generate approximately 10,550 MWh of electricity each year. This output is sufficient to power around 5,000 households. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The facility will also contribute to annual CO\u2082 savings estimated at over 2,500 tonnes. VSB Group’s CEO, Dr. Felix Grolman, emphasized the project’s role in repurposing unused land for the energy transition. This solar plant adds to VSB’s expanding solar portfolio, which includes the 19.3MWp L\u00f6beritz project in Germany and a 300MWp solar-plus-storage initiative in Poland.
