The wind farm, with a total capacity of 960 megawatts (MW), will provide 20 MW specifically for DHL&#8217;s operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 10-year PPA will meet about 16% of DHL Group\u2019s annual electricity consumption in Germany, amounting to approximately 80 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of renewable energy each year. This agreement aligns with the phased commissioning of the He Dreiht wind farm, expected to be fully operational by spring 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DHL Group\u2019s Chief Procurement Officer, Anna Spinelli, emphasized the importance of energy management in achieving net-zero emissions in logistics by 2050. She stated, &#8220;The agreement with EnBW for the He Dreiht wind farm is another important step on our path to net-zero emissions in logistics by 2050.&#8221; The partnership not only secures a reliable supply of renewable electricity for DHL but also contributes to the broader energy transition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EnBW\u2019s Executive Director, Matthias Obert, expressed enthusiasm about supporting DHL on its journey towards zero-emission logistics. He highlighted that PPAs are an effective method for facilitating industrial decarbonization while also ensuring financial backing for renewable projects.
