The electricity will be sourced from the He Dreiht offshore wind farm located in the German North Sea. He Dreiht is set to begin operations in stages, with full commissioning expected by spring 2026. The power purchase agreement (PPA) spans ten years and will supply about 16% of DHL\u2019s current annual electricity needs in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The He Dreiht offshore wind farm is notable for being one of the first in Europe constructed without government subsidies. Once operational, it will significantly boost EnBW’s renewable energy generation capacity, utilizing 64 Vestas V236-15 turbines, each rated at 15 megawatts. With a total capacity of 960 megawatts, He Dreiht is projected to supply renewable energy to approximately 1.1 million households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
