Leaders and companies from the Western Balkans will convene in Constanta, Romania, on September 24-25 for the South East Europe EPC & Infrastructure Conference. This event, now in its second edition, focuses on advancing infrastructure and energy projects crucial for the region’s development.
Approximately 35 speakers will represent Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania, discussing strategic initiatives and cross-border collaborations aimed at enhancing Romania’s infrastructure capabilities. Key topics include the role of public authorities in fostering a supportive business environment during economic challenges, the importance of public-private partnerships, and strategies for attracting foreign investment. The Port of Constanta will be highlighted as a vital asset for regional logistics.
The conference will unfold over two days, with September 24 dedicated to infrastructure and regional strategic projects. Participants will include local and central authorities, companies involved in road, rail, and maritime transport, construction firms, and international investors keen on expanding their operations in Romania. On September 25, discussions will shift to renewable energy and best practices in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracting, including a focus on inter-regional connectivity and the cross-border development of energy businesses.
The event expects around 400 participants, including representatives from local and international companies, investors, and industry experts. Strategic partners include notable organizations such as PATRES (Employers’ Organization of Renewable Energy Producers in Romania), CAIR (Confederation of Romanian Entrepreneurs and Investors), PSC (Employers’ Association of Construction Companies), and UNTRR (National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania).
Creative Communication, an agency dedicated to promoting sustainability through innovation and technology, organizes the conference. The agency has a history of hosting events that address renewable energy topics, including the Solar Energy Bucharest Summit and Romanian Green PPA. The choice of Constanta as the venue underscores the city’s importance in regional economic development and its potential for future infrastructure projects, particularly in light of the ongoing geopolitical context affecting Eastern Europe.
